unwired

I just finished updating my two machines to snow leopard OS.. well the reason why I update my OS to snow leopard because I bought a magic mouse from apple today. It is a nice slim elegant looking mouse with smooth multi functions surface. No button at all but it acts like a normal mouse with additional functions of finger swipe. It acts like mac pro mouse pad, use fingers to swipe and it will respond flawlessly. I m hoping magic mouse will help me in my up coming editing project... will see. For the mighty mouse, I will dissect it of course, the scroller is malfunctioning anyway. I need to see inside, I am curious. I ve tried to clean it as most people suggest, using wet towel but it aint no good. For sure mighty mouse is using USB while magic mouse is wireless meaning AA cells are needed to pursue its 'magic' to work. I m hoping not to spend much amount of dollars in pursuing this thing to work.

Actually I dont have intention to upgrade my OS to snow leopard just yet, but as preceding mentioned it is all because of the magic mouse. And furthermore I reckon apple is giving a good offer to their users.. the "family pack" with reasonable price. It provides up to five computers meaning you are permitted to install up to five computers using the same CD. Ermmm I dont notice anything yet, will explore bit by bit. Anyway magic mouse is recommended.. its handy and awesome..

December Carnivals..

It has been awhile i didnt update my blog, quite busy recently but now comes to my holiday where I shall repay for my long overdue of activities. I attended 3 carnivals within 24 hours, last nite I went for DST carnival which was awesome, the stalls, the burger, the lamb chops , the fireworks but not the shuttle system. How would you feel after standing and waiting accordingly but eventually those selfish bastards who came later rushed into the bus and took ur seat? Dont they have feeling of conscience? moreover it was quite shocking to see some children without parents were rushing up the bus. Where were the parents? and why letting the smalls alone? undoubtedly the parents were somewhere and let their kids to struggle in the crowds. This was not suppose to happen, this may lead to 'lack' of ethics for the generation, besides it is dangerous and likely may cause injury !. I wonder the functions of the numbers of staffs standing and mingling at the bus stop, what on earth they were doing? just standing and guide people to the bus door? I mean they should more organize, ask the people to form a line or give numbers I presume. Isn't it more efficient rather than standing and just ordering people to get in the bus upon arrival.

As for today I was spending time with my bike and with other fellow bikers. Pemoda and HOG were invited to two carnivals held in Tutong and Kiulap. We came for a parade at Tutong Karnival together with 4X4 wheels, vespa owner groups, sport cars and other luxury vehicles. We met up at the very morning and spent for like 5 hours in Tutong carnival. It was really nice though, the parade let the sounds of our twins engines immense intensely. However the slow ride made my engine overheat and left a scorch mark on my jean! I guess I have to get another exhaust wrapper?. Nonetheless, to ride with old fellows were awesome!. Really miss the old days folks!!!. We shifted from Tutong to Kiulap at mid day.. apparently it was hot along the route with bumpy highway, potholes everywhere. But it dosnt really matters, I just love the rumbling sounds anyway.. all riders may know the feelings, mutually!. As arrived again another warm welcoming from kiulap organizer. What I love was the resonant sounds of v twin engines as we entered the buildings.. yeah kids better cover your ears!. Then the convey moved to DST carnival but we didnt stay long. Back to tutong and spend a few hours at pantai for recess and teh tarik, jagung bakar and curry puffs..

or else dont bother!

Everyone is busy with household works I presume, get busy for hari raya preparation?. Shopping complex, textile malls pack with people, looking for 'last minutes' provision to pursue the celebration in just few days ahead. In addition the 'payday' was given 2 weeks earlier? just for the sake of hari raya, is it good or is it bad? well, it is up to the individual to spend and adjusting the budget, my advise "spend wise not waste"!. The best way to celebrate is 'ala kadar saja' and 'overspending' should be avoided. I m guessing the norms of hari raya still remain the same, look at the shopping mall, crowded! typical isnt it? but thats the spirit! hari raya hari yg bahagia... as long as u r bahagia till end of month, or else dont bother!.

There are so many things to look at my 'to do list' thus made me a lil ignorance for hari raya. I m not saying that Im not looking forward for the celebration, just many things turned out that need to put into account. So dont get me wrong, I just focus on priority and necessities. This year I only bought a pair of Baju melayu.. enuff? yep thats enuff since my last baju melayu still hanging in good condition. Songkok? sinjang? stud baju? nehhh... not necessary. I have different colours of baju melayu with a similar fashion (3 pockets, 5 studs and silky) meaning I dont have to worry of being called out fashioned since that hows baju melayu happen to be wore here. I can wear any of my baju melayu from last year, last last year or even last few years, regardless of sizes and matching the sinjangs. But my sinjangs are mostly black and I reckon may match any colour of the baju.

Fasting month is nearly comes to it's end. Alhamdullilah I managed to undergo till this recent. This year I have to put extra strength and really require extra patience. Y? well, simply saying I m having other "commitments" that restrict me from being asleep in the afternoon in most cases. But not that bad, really!. Yawnnn.., have u bayar ur zakat?.

A teriffying moment

This photo is a courtesy of Abg Hasrin and it was taken during our ride to Pusat Ehsan Bazzar at Bengkurong. I dont mean to show off of having the nerve posing with snake.. not im not! but look properly to the picture, something will make me go nut if I knew it was actually there. Of course it was not the reptile, but a gigantic tarantula was crawling on the boy's hand behind me. If the boy comes nearer I swear to death the spider will be found 'crunchy' dead. I dont mean to degrade this creature, but m phobia to spider and I may act out of control by nature if this creature tries to get near!!!. This was my first experience standing about a meter to a giant tarantula, ironically I dont sense the presence at the first place (which I usually do!). I was busy taking pictures holding the adorable serpent!, till a friend mentioned "tarantula", with a glance I knew it was there, I ran in panic... goosebumps. Laugh as you wish, but that's my confession of being arachnophobia...

The arachnid owner finds it's funny knowing someone's frighten to spider. Well, lets me explain 'fright' and 'phobia' give two different kinds of reaction. Fright is usually due to uncertainty to subject's respond, and usually may able to overcome the feeling of fear after making sure everything is okey. While 'phobia' leads to panic and chaotic response by nature and eventually turn out to unpredictable reactions. Take for instance to hold the snake at the first place, was fear just in case it bites!!! but I was not since I know it wont's bite, so I can manage to control my fear... well, spider bite or not bite, trantuala or not, still the same ; an eight legged creature with fangs, many eyes, fat ass and moves ugly. I tried to overcome this fear before by observing their pictures, but not after looking a live ones as their legs move! Basically I fright to their legs the most hahaha and bottom line I cannot accept them mingling within my space. Bikers are not suppose to be frighten to spider.... godamnit who cares!. WARNING: don't ever try me with spider or you will regret!. But fortunately I have no problem with crabs...

into my consideration..

I was just arrived from Bandar accompanying one of our friend to get his mini laptop... a 10 inches with only a kilo weight?!. As they were busy looking and browsing for the brands, I was peeking to compare prices and specs. Today's market for laptops are vary in brands, competing each other thus made good offers in term of specs and prices. Numbers of good brands with affordable prices. Nowadays, I reckon every home can afford to have at least a laptop whilst in my time to have them was nearly impractical due to it's irrelevant prices. It makes me thinking how cheap it's cost for a lappy compare to the early days when I bought my first dell which costs me for nearly 4K. But m proud to have it, I guess it was one of the first laptop with buildin graphic card (a 64 nividia G-force) hahah!. Hermm.. i m thinking to have a mac book pro! People might ask why am I wasting money for apple? aren't the softwares pricey? Both mac and windows have their pros and cons but I m talking about graphic and quality that mac provided to their users, moreover when comes to editing video and sound I reckon mac is the best. I dont think it is because of the OS but probably the hardwares of the system. Just compare their iphones with other GUI phones, I have tried both anyway (iphone versus window mobile CE), and frankly speaking I prefer the first one... smoother, faster and reliable!!!

Haven't hang out for perayaan so far and i think i m not keen to look forward though. Probably I just drop by the perayaan to get some longans and sutong tutok haha... i dont noe!. Maybe Im too old for perayaan now or maybe it is just a matter of odd feeling since we usually celebrate July in conjunction of HM's birthday with stage performances back in the previous years, less 'happening' I might say, but what I heard the perayaan's stage thingy will be forwarded after the hari raya.. or maybe it was just a rumor. Peace and tranquility to everyone....

More then meets the eye

okey, what was happening during this holiday? I was not leaving Brunei since the outbreak of swine flu. Everyone is alerted ever since the holiday was just started. There were cases where people were quarantined as they arrived Brunei. Ignorance you say? cannot blame them, spending holiday outside Brunei is a norm for most Bruneians. Typically, everybody is leaving for vacation and never expecting to get worse. Pray to Allah SWT for protections and away from any harm. I was not dare to leave Brunei and I dont want to be isolated upon arriving just because spending my leisure time outside Brunei. Actually the plan was to ride to Sibu but it is better to extend the plan till everything back to normal.

So I just spent my time within, rode my bike and to watch movie at cinema. Transformers "the revenge of the fallen" was awesome.. it took more than 2 hours to sit with excitements.. and I felt never enough!. The second movie is more thrill and hilarious, the graphics are more sophisticated and superb!. It made me wonder if they can bring 'The M.A.S.K" ('85 cartoon) to movie just like transformers. I was a die hard fan of Matt Trakker, I was once collecting both MASK and VENOM toy's figures. I still remember waiting for the cartoon every friday afternoon. It was more to MASK craze than transformers. I grew up with these cartoons, til this current days I keep my finger cross if they can bring M.A.S.K to life... 80's cartoon rules!!!.

I also spent my holiday on wii games. Was playing "The Godfather II" but heck the game is not easy. There are lotsa buttons to handle, in fact I m not a game maniac as I used to be. I sometime felt stress to play the game, anyhow it was just right to kill boredom... shot as I wish hahah. Other then that, play golf, fishing, table tennis with wii.

Playing with my small nephew was one of my routine during holiday. He can now roll a ball and chase it, he is so talented. Jamming? nooooo... none, nada. Our drummer is still in Singapore, we have no substitute drummer. We can do nothing except to wait for his return. It seems my holiay was a bit dull and colourless. I m so addictive to 'jamming'. Hence most of the times I spent was riding my bike and hang out. Till next time... transform....!!!

Dehydration

Recently our country experiencing unpredictable temperature phenomenon, less rainfall but heat.. I mean striking heat,.. burning!!!, it’s maybe because our thin ozone, icebergs melted and gave out heavy rainfall last few months and now heat… what’s next? Nazubillah.. It makes unstable climate and condition and most activities are now limited. I have to confess that I became ‘putera lilin’ nowadays, cannot stand for too long under direct sunlight… Im melting.. really!!!. Aircool rooms are mandatory! I even turned my car’s aircond knob to the max everytime I went home from work. The heat are biting me!!!.

Today was a bit challenging as we are facing hot climate yet I dare to expose for hours under termandous sunlight, that’s because I was with my other 80++ fellow bikers rode our iron horses to the rural parts of our lovely district. It was actually an event held by "Pemoda" as one of our ‘focus of event’. ‘Jelajah Tutong’ is the name given for this event and obviously we were doing expedition around Tutong district and of course we were so bejamur mcm ikan masin. Started from town to the heritage park Merimbun as we were guest of honor for Dusun’s Adoh Gayoh celebration at Merimbun. The occasions were happening, good people, fun activities, fun riding except of the furious temperature or else it would be perfect. It has been years I haven’t visit to this place and there is no huge different from my last visit, the lake, the pulau except the bridge is now relocated. Praise should be given to orang-orang kampong for their efforts conserving our heritage park.

The journey continues by passing several rural kampongs in Tutong. I cant remember the kampongs, all I know our route eventually comes to an exit at kampong Tanjong Maya. I remember the heat that vibes termendously inside me along the journey, the smell of burning trees and grasses and the waving made by kids to us, probably excited by the numbers of vtwins engines roaring in their kampongs. But I guess they don’t know how we all felt, we were actually burning inside our rugged gears and armors haha.. tuhan saja tahu. As arrived in Kmpong Danau, I desperately seeking for “Airrrrr… airrrr”, dehydrated to the max and felt like all liquids in my body were evaporating out of my skin. We were served with kuihmuih and cold air bandung and air oren. I can't hardly listen to Danau's MPK presedent's speech, what I want was the sweaty bandung in the jugs. The air bandung tested like havens...

Our journey ended at Pantai Seri Kenangan.., a fatigue day… but I dont care ! really! at least it was fun and I have something to post and to share. To all brothers and sisters on bike, get your motor running and head out on the highway.. get some sunburn!. To all Dusuns people, happy Adoh Gayoh.
