More then meets the eye

okey, what was happening during this holiday? I was not leaving Brunei since the outbreak of swine flu. Everyone is alerted ever since the holiday was just started. There were cases where people were quarantined as they arrived Brunei. Ignorance you say? cannot blame them, spending holiday outside Brunei is a norm for most Bruneians. Typically, everybody is leaving for vacation and never expecting to get worse. Pray to Allah SWT for protections and away from any harm. I was not dare to leave Brunei and I dont want to be isolated upon arriving just because spending my leisure time outside Brunei. Actually the plan was to ride to Sibu but it is better to extend the plan till everything back to normal.

So I just spent my time within, rode my bike and to watch movie at cinema. Transformers "the revenge of the fallen" was awesome.. it took more than 2 hours to sit with excitements.. and I felt never enough!. The second movie is more thrill and hilarious, the graphics are more sophisticated and superb!. It made me wonder if they can bring 'The M.A.S.K" ('85 cartoon) to movie just like transformers. I was a die hard fan of Matt Trakker, I was once collecting both MASK and VENOM toy's figures. I still remember waiting for the cartoon every friday afternoon. It was more to MASK craze than transformers. I grew up with these cartoons, til this current days I keep my finger cross if they can bring M.A.S.K to life... 80's cartoon rules!!!.

I also spent my holiday on wii games. Was playing "The Godfather II" but heck the game is not easy. There are lotsa buttons to handle, in fact I m not a game maniac as I used to be. I sometime felt stress to play the game, anyhow it was just right to kill boredom... shot as I wish hahah. Other then that, play golf, fishing, table tennis with wii.

Playing with my small nephew was one of my routine during holiday. He can now roll a ball and chase it, he is so talented. Jamming? nooooo... none, nada. Our drummer is still in Singapore, we have no substitute drummer. We can do nothing except to wait for his return. It seems my holiay was a bit dull and colourless. I m so addictive to 'jamming'. Hence most of the times I spent was riding my bike and hang out. Till next time... transform....!!!

Dehydration

Recently our country experiencing unpredictable temperature phenomenon, less rainfall but heat.. I mean striking heat,.. burning!!!, it’s maybe because our thin ozone, icebergs melted and gave out heavy rainfall last few months and now heat… what’s next? Nazubillah.. It makes unstable climate and condition and most activities are now limited. I have to confess that I became ‘putera lilin’ nowadays, cannot stand for too long under direct sunlight… Im melting.. really!!!. Aircool rooms are mandatory! I even turned my car’s aircond knob to the max everytime I went home from work. The heat are biting me!!!.

Today was a bit challenging as we are facing hot climate yet I dare to expose for hours under termandous sunlight, that’s because I was with my other 80++ fellow bikers rode our iron horses to the rural parts of our lovely district. It was actually an event held by "Pemoda" as one of our ‘focus of event’. ‘Jelajah Tutong’ is the name given for this event and obviously we were doing expedition around Tutong district and of course we were so bejamur mcm ikan masin. Started from town to the heritage park Merimbun as we were guest of honor for Dusun’s Adoh Gayoh celebration at Merimbun. The occasions were happening, good people, fun activities, fun riding except of the furious temperature or else it would be perfect. It has been years I haven’t visit to this place and there is no huge different from my last visit, the lake, the pulau except the bridge is now relocated. Praise should be given to orang-orang kampong for their efforts conserving our heritage park.

The journey continues by passing several rural kampongs in Tutong. I cant remember the kampongs, all I know our route eventually comes to an exit at kampong Tanjong Maya. I remember the heat that vibes termendously inside me along the journey, the smell of burning trees and grasses and the waving made by kids to us, probably excited by the numbers of vtwins engines roaring in their kampongs. But I guess they don’t know how we all felt, we were actually burning inside our rugged gears and armors haha.. tuhan saja tahu. As arrived in Kmpong Danau, I desperately seeking for “Airrrrr… airrrr”, dehydrated to the max and felt like all liquids in my body were evaporating out of my skin. We were served with kuihmuih and cold air bandung and air oren. I can't hardly listen to Danau's MPK presedent's speech, what I want was the sweaty bandung in the jugs. The air bandung tested like havens...

Our journey ended at Pantai Seri Kenangan.., a fatigue day… but I dont care ! really! at least it was fun and I have something to post and to share. To all brothers and sisters on bike, get your motor running and head out on the highway.. get some sunburn!. To all Dusuns people, happy Adoh Gayoh.

Im glad I can come to his special day today just to congratulate and greet him ‘selamat’ and furthermore it is a matter of respect to brothers. Brother of ‘metal kapak’ ahaha… I just remember to his trademark logo - a music note with crosses axes that represent his soul in music and to him it implies as hard and ol’skol metal tune and I so called it as “rock kapak”! hahah. Bah bro bila tah kao membagi logo mu atu? Kan ku lakat arah guitar brohh hahha..

D zaman bujangnya, he is one cool guy, calm to almost on everything and above all we share something in common, “metal music”!!!.. yeahh \m/… we both are “die hard” fans of metal music (extreme metals are excluded anyway!) and always be keen on fast and heavy riffing.. We used to play in a band once and still have. Miss the old days pal ahaha… lot of memories to recall, but the best part was “TANGKAPPP”.. Broo, if u r reading this, I bet you will burst with laughters hahaha.. ahahaha..

Okey bro, wish you all the best… semoga berkekalan dan berpanjangan dan sentiasa dalam perlindungan Allah SWT… amin. Heavy metal sampai ke anak cucu ! ahahah..

Finally a pair of Harley Davidson grind sneakers arrived today after a month plus plus of waiting. I assume something wrong with the correspondence address or entah lah… yg penting sampai. I always keen to sneakers, especially chuck’s.. and it doubles my excitement as I knew there are harley’s sneakers. I made this as one of my favorite collection.. but of course pakai lah jua (okey hun!..) I m looking forward for the static low cut harley’s sneaker.

Appreciate..

Happy 25th Independence Day to all Bruneian, a silver jubilee everyone !… meaning we have been celebrating “Merdeka” for more then 2 decades now… alhamdullilah. We were having good time (and still have) to live as “Negara merdeka” in peaceful prosperous way leads by our loving monarch. We should be thankful to Allah SWT for the blessing and always be grateful for letting us to breath in such wealthy, peaceful kingdom.

Every year we celebrate “Merdeka” as to recall the memoir of the achievement of our independent. This year I joined “Merdeka ride” with my fellow bikers. Actually it is not pleasure of riding that I seek but the main purpose was to give support to the organizer as they were making merdeka ride as well doing fund rising for unfortunate Palestinians. I believe this is one of good way to appreciate our given wealth by not forgetting our brothers and sisters who are suffering and need hands. The ride began at 7 am with 100 bikes and more, every rider donated and rode to Seria and the capital for more fund rising. Alhamdullilah, most Bruneians are kind-hearted, I m proud for their concerns, god bless the donors. But somehow I was freaking shock, as there was a middle-age man was stating “ramai lagi org Brunei susah”… mannn,.. come on.. how “susah” is ours compare to Gaza ?. We live in a very peaceful country, less taxes, fine welfares and great hospitality etc... shuykur tah! Oh Yes, recently our country experienced "rain-flooding" phenomena, but obviously not as worse as Gaza’s fatal by war. This man should be ashamed to himself, he suppose to support the charity at least even he has nothing to donate. Pray to God for our peace and wealth, shyukur dengan apa yang telah dikurniakan.

The ride was very enjoying! all scooters and big bikes were unite and share something in common, to ride for a sake of love and care to others. I reckoned every participant was happy riding on that day, satisfaction clearly can be seen on every face even the heat was striking furiously but "support spirit" were flaming, this shows unity among all Bruneian riders. Kudos to the committee for the flawless function and thank a million to the donors.. God bless you all. Thanks to police traffics of Brunei for escorting us and taking care of our convoy.

Afterall, motorcycling is not all about wild and free but doing good deeds too. Happy merdeka to all... peace, love & respect and ride hard !!!

Auxiliary

Hello guys… Ive just finished installing aux cable for my grand Vitara after months of thinking on how my ipod gonna works with my stock GV’s stereo head unit. Well actually there is a device for playing ipod in GVs. It is like integration kit needs to be installed to the HU but the price is killing me, I was thinking I just need a cable to connect with. Somehow I tried griffin road trip (by apple) which is actually FM modulator, since the review is quite exceptional due to their smartscan technology… yup I agreed to the sound quality but not clarity. In other words I was not satisfied with the sound especially whenever I want to hear heavy metal music in my car... meaning I still need a cable! my god, rugi rugi… baik plg ku bali saja integration kit atu… but since I already telajak membali griffin modulator, I must find something that help me from overspending.

I made research in internet, reading forums… bla bla so many tips popped out which were mostly DIY thingy. I tried out a tip given by a member in Vitara owner’s club forum which resulting to useless effort… ‘no success’ to be clearer. Then I went to several car audio stores to find out if there is any possibility they can make me an aux cable for my GV, to my surprise they were saying that it is impossible and not making sense to create an aux extension from my stock HU unless I buy a new aftermarket HU... whattt?!!.. Even after I told them it is actually possible since there are people in Grand Vitara now listening to their mp3s using a simple auxiliary cable installed.

Then I emailed a fren who’s made this cable as my last resort. He sells this cable for $32US and comes with detailed installation instructions. Thanks man for saving my ass… and now I can play my ipod in my GV with clear sound and in addition it is connected to the griffin that acts as ipod charger and as my ipod portable modulator when needed. So those who has Grand Vitara 2007 and up model try this... hemmm and probably it works for Swift too.

Me and Bob

It has been awhile I didn’t update my blog, it is nearly end of January and I have nothing to post. It is not because Im forgetting my blog but many things happened ups and downs, works and social life’s related. Anyway, best thing turned out in January where I met my best fellow, Bob.

Who is Bob? Well I knew Bob from a friend, an Australian guy and he used to be as Bob’s best friend. Unfortunately he has to leave Bob due to his working commitment where he is reassigned to another location and find difficulty bringing Bob along. I know it’s hard to leave Bob especially after nearly 2 years of being together. But no worries mate, Bob is in a good hand!. Besides you will be having a new fellow over there man.

I m hoping Bob will be fine with me... I guess we just need somekind of mutual needs… suits each other well, understanding and most important he’ll go where ever I intend to go without talking back. I remember a time when I took Bob home. It was raining heavily, we went home together in rain, cold and dirt, but this fellow made me so inspire thus I don’t gave a damn to whatever nasty weather impending… he will never complaint.

I m quite content of having bob as part of my side, whoa I think it sounds a lil weird and gay now… hahah but don’t get me wrong because Bob is not a mortal. I ll be posting Bob’s photo soon as I finished doing some little ‘tweak’ on him. Stay tune folks !
